Marie Makuate is a Ph.D. candidate and researcher in Geomatics at Cameroon’s Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation, specializing in using computer science for environmental management through GIS. She founded Geospatial Girls and Kids to promote geospatial fields for girls and children in Africa. Previously, she was a Senior Manager in Disaster Services and Training at HOT (Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team) and a GIS consultant for UNECA and WRI. Passionate about climate change, disaster management, and geo-AI, she uses remote sensing and GIS to solve environmental issues. A TechWomen 2022 fellow, she advocates for sustainable development and inclusive tech communities.

Raoul Vital has a Master's degree in Economics and a Bachelor's degree in Social Communication with a specialization in Local Government Management. He has over 15 years of professional experience in environmental communication, climate change and communication for development, supporting local authorities in developing climate plans, advocacy, producing training and awareness materials, capacity building and training in human rights and the environment. He has over 10 years of experience in project management and monitoring and international negotiations.

Braden Dayton gained hands-on experience at IBC Advanced Technologies, working with advanced materials and CAD to prepare projects for corporate buyers. After a year of university, he completed a two-year voluntary service mission in Boston, MA, where he learned the importance of having a personal "why."
